Global architecture and interiors company, M Moser Associates appointed Croydon Window Company as a glazing specialist to provide and install high performance secondary glazing as part of their project for Everest Re Group.
The site building is located in the heart of the City’s insurance district opposite the iconic Lloyds building – Leadenhall building.
Our brief was to match the existing buildings bronze windows, which sits within the Leadenhall Market conservation area and part of a Grade II listed building. Secondary glazing was the best solution for this project, where Croydon Window Company colour matched with new Van Dyke brown, powdercoated aluminium windows.
Secondary glazing products can eliminate draughts and reduce heat loss by 65 percent. The systems have been independently tested and proven to reduce noise levels by up to 54dB.
The glazing provides a complete internal seal, allowing balanced ventilation within the window reveal cavities. The frames are made from tough aluminium and securely fixed, making them extremely difficult to open from the outside.
Secondary glazing offers discreet in appearance, superb benefits to listed property owners, particularly those in need of peace and quiet, as well as respect for tradition.
